Weapons & Smithing: Arrows
If you are one of the few people out there using bows and arrows, you might want to take a look into a much-forgotten skill called the Bow Special Attack. Its a very versatile attack if you have the ammunition for it, and we have the lowdown.
Before you start off making your arrows, you should be aware of that there are multiple types of them, depending on what you want to create. The various types of arrows do not necessarily do damage - for instance some will diminish your opponents nanosupply. Lets take a look at the different types of arrows before we begin making them. They also have various QL-ranges, so you wont be able to build QL200 of them all.

    Apple Seed
QL Range: 1-100
Bow Spc. Attack skill lock: 30s
Damage: AOE 10m radiation damage. QL100 will hit for 100 radiation damage.
Special Effect: Taunts

    Frozen Cherryblossom
QL Range: 60-200
Bow Spc. Attack skill lock: 360s
Damage: AOE 5m for cold damage. QL200 arrow will hit for 300-1100 cold damage.

    Maple Blaze
QL Range: 120-200
Bow Spc. Attack skill lock: 720s

Special Effect: None

    Needle of Pine
QL Range: 1-200
Bow Spc. Attack skill lock: 120s
Damage: AOE 5m for chemical damage. QL200 will hit for 260 chemical damage.
Special Effect: None

    Pestering Gadfly
QL Range: 100
Bow Spc. Attack skill lock: 120s
Damage: Projectile damage. QL100 will hit for 100-200 projectile damage.
Special Effect: Taunts

    Poison Bamboo
QL Range: 1-200
Bow Spc. Attack skill lock: 270s
Damage: Poison Damage. QL200 will hit for 800 poison damage.
Special Effect: None

The Pestering Gadfly arrows above are listed there since they are, after all, arrows. However - it is not possible to make them, they have to be bought from the Special Attacks booth in your local store.

Having decided on which type of arrows you wish to make, its now time for the ingredients. You will need Arrowheads and Reet-Tech Metaplast Arrowshafts. Both can be found in your local Ranged Weapons Components booth, at various quality levels. Please remember the Quality Range of the arrows you want to make - with this much to choose from it can be a real hassle finding the right one to fill your needs.

  Reet-Tech Metaplast Arrowshafts
A set of perfectly balanced arrow shafts.

The Arrowheads needs to be at least 0.9 times the QL of the shaft you are getting. For instance, if you intend to make a set of QL100 arrows, you will need QL90 Arrowheads at the least.

    Chemical Arrowheads
- Used in the making of Needle of Pine special arrows.
    Frost Arrowheads
- Used in the making of Frozen Cherryblossom special arrows.

    Fire Arrowheads
- Used in the making of Maple Blaze special arrows.
    Poison Arrowheads
- Used in the making of Poison Bamboo special arrows.

    Radiation Arrowheads
- Used in the making of Apple Seed special arrows.

Now, all you have to do is gently screw the arrowheads to the shaft and you should have yourself one set of primo arrows, ready to fly through the air.

+ =   In our case, stack of
Frozen Cherryblossom Special Arrow

The process takes 2.75 times the QL of the shaft in your Agility and 1.22 times the QL in your Intelligence abilities. You will end up with a stackable amount of 20 arrows ready for use.

Final word
While the arrows do have some nice extras, in particular the Frozen Cherryblossom arrows, it can be a real pain to find the right quality level of shafts. However - if you are into bows, this might be a very nice addon.
