Eric Mendelson

In the vast forest of Varmint Woods, Eric stands at his outpost, muttering to
himself. Clearly a man with a tale to tell, and we'd be only too glad to listen
to it.
A trader by nature, now a wildlife preservationist, we were sure he had something
to say about the wildlife in the surrounding area - and he most certainly did.
Remind us not to go back to him with any of our Rhinomen hunting stories...

Hello. I am a trader. I go by the name of Eric Mendelson. I trade various goods.
And in my spare time, I try to save the world. Well... a small part of it anyway.
More specifically, I'm trying to save the Rhinomen from extinction.
Rhinomen, hmm.. We pressed Eric a bit on the rhinomen issue, and he was more than
willing to supply us with a tale about them, and what he is trying to stop.
I can tell about the poor Rhinomen...and how Omni-Tek is trying to eradicate them!
The Rhinomen are the result of Omni-Med experiments, like most of the other monsters
you find on Rubi-Ka. They got loose in the wild when the Eco-Warriors attacked
the Omni-Med lab. Since then, Omni-Tek has tried to wipe them out.
Didn't seem like Eric was much of an Omni-Tek fan there, and in a way, who can
blame him for wanting the Rhinomen to be left alone? Although we do suspect that
Omni-Tek isn't the one responsible for the most kills, but we let that rest and
asked on about Omni-Tek...
Omni-Tek is a totally fascist corporation. They actually believe than any lifeform
not employed by Omni-Tek doesn't have the right to live! In this area, they are
especially trying to wipe out the poor Rhinomen. There are several Omni-Tek poachers
around here. They have destroyed entire villages of poor defenseless Rhinomen!
Poachers seem to be a hot topic with Eric. He doesn't like them one bit, and when
inquired further about them, he points out a certain someone...
The poachers kill Rhinomen and sell their teeth! It sickens me. The worst one
is a guy called Stanley Adams. He's the worst of the poachers. I've heard that
he loves killing Rhino babies and making necklaces of their eyes!
We left Eric there, mumbling silently about Stanley Adams' various acts of cruelty
against the Rhinomen and set out to find this Stanley and hear his version of
the story.
