The Eremite Statue
1300 x 2300, Deep Artery Valley

If you have never seen an Eremite before, this is how they look. We're only too thankful its not a live one wanting to rip our spleens out.

The Eremite Statue is the centre of attention of the local cultists, who plant glowing blue mushrooms at it's base to pay homage to their dark god.

It's unknown who the cultists really are, but we are fairly sure that if they worship anything looking like this, they mean business.

Even though it is called a "statue" we're rather certain that it's not a real statue, but rather a fossilized version of the real thing, or possibly one caught in a neverending root-program. The area surrounding the statue can be quite hazardous, as we found out when we were assaulted mid-air by an angered Thanatos-flower that seemed to want to keep the sight to itself. So if you do plan on visiting this landmark, be sure to pack your stimkits as well - you might need them.

Update: With the new release of patch 14.5 this is now home to a VERY nasty customer called The Pest. He is one of the high level bosses spread out across Rubi-Ka and we really cant recommend you taking the grand tour here unless you expect to die a most gruesome death.
