Reet Retreat
1200 x 2800, Upper Stret West Bank
Besides being conveniently located in the large and beautiful settlement of West
Last Ditch, the Reet Retreat is also the largest club on the planet. Catering
to both sides, the Reet has something to offer for everyone.
The whole interior of this huge building is laid out with hallways leading into
different themed rooms, with usually a small bar or waitresses tending to the
customers in that particular section. These lounges' themes go from the cosy,
to the bizzare, and to downright looking like a dump.
And this is what really disturbs me. As a whole, Reet seems like a product of
many minds that could not decide on a direction to take. I can almost imagine
a group of villagers deciding they wanted a club, and everyone went home to see
what they had lying around in their basement that could be used. Some rooms don't
even have furniture and more resemble storage areas, and some are bordering on
the grotesque and sick - like a room where the walls are painted in blood, with
corpses hanging from the roof.
But hey, it's not all bad by far. Some enviroments are very inviting, with large
fireplaces, deep comfy chairs and a sense of security. These are also the areas
where most patrons hang out, so if you're looking for some company, try to navigate
this chaos until you find it. The music played in Reet is also one of it's stronger
points - slow soothing tunes to kill the stress of the day to day fighting.
