Gameplay: Advanced Towers
Want something special for your base rather than the old and rather shabby regular towers? Want to teach your enemies a lesson they won't soon forget for attacking your cluster of towers? Then the advanced tradeskills towers might very well be something for you.
Once you've looked into the basic towers you might want to start looking at the more advanced ones, the ones you only can get by means of manually building them through tradeskills. These towers are by far the more powerful and useful ones, ranging from special attack towers that will force flying adversaries down to the ground, or force cloaked units to reveal themselves, but they also include some of the "missing" skillbuffing towers (conductors) and Turrets such as the Cold Laser Turrets.

Before you read this guide, you should be aware that you will need quite a bit of tradeskills in order to make these towers, at least at higher quality levels than 100. Also, some of the towers exist within a limited Quality range, for instance the decloaking turret starts at QL 25, while the Prescence conductor starts at QL 200. You will also need to obtain some Infuriated and/or Polychromatic Nanobots. To read about where you can obtain those items, please read our guide on the Tower Weapons, as this guide explains where to find the mobs that will drop these.

  Cloud of Polychromatic Nanobots
Cloud of Infuriated Nanobots

The Polychromatic Nanobots are used to create the Conductor towers, while the Infuriated Nanobots are used in the process of making the Turrets - so depending on what kind of tower you want, you will have to get the corresponding type of nanobots. On a different note, the Infuriated nanobots are of special QL, so that is one headache you won't need to worry about if you intend on making a Turret as opposed to a Conductor. All the other items for the creation of these towers can be found in your local Towers shop.

Conductors
Lets start with Conductors and get the biggest bulk of the tradeskill towers behind us right away. The shopping list for any base Guardian Conductor contains these items...

    Cloud of Polychromatic Nanobots
    Guardian Conductor Building Kit

    Guardian Conductor Controller Program
(in our example, we are using a Corruption program that will add to Matter Creation and Timespace)
    HSR Compressed Regenerating Bioplate

As you might notice, the selection from the Guardian Conductor Programs are different from the pre-made shop. You will be able to pick from a wide range of programs to customize your conductor, one of the more popular ones being the Corruption program (the one adding Matter Creation and Time&Space).

    Guardian Conductor of Corruption
Gives a personal buff to MC and TS for its owner as well as an AOE Nanopool decrease for all enemies in the area.
    Guardian Conductor of Learning
Gives a nice personal buff to all melee skills for its owner as well as an AOE All Add Off. to any allies in the area.

    Guardian Conductor of Focus
Gives a nice personal buff to tradeskills and evades for its owner as well as an AOE evade buff to any allies in the area.
    Guardian Conductor of Plunder
Gives personal buffs to Bow, Bow Spc Atk, Heavy Weapons and Grenades for its owner as well and AOE debuffs them for enemies.

    Guardian Conductor of Funneling
Gives a personal owner buff to Add All Off. as well as an AOE decrease to both nanpool and body dev to any enemies in the area.
    Guardian Conductor of Presence
Gives a nice personal buff to melee and energy damage and all add off. for its owner as well as an AOE bonus for the same to any allies.

    Guardian Conductor of Juggling
Gives a personal buff to Treatment and First Aid for its owner and an AOE debuff to Dimach, Brawl, MA and Riposte for enemies.
    Guardian Conductor of Talent
Gives personal buffs to radiation damage and all add def. for its owner as well as an AOE buff to any allies in the same skills.

The first step is to combine the Polychromatic nanobots with the Guardian Controller Building Kit. Your Polychromatic nanobots must be at least 90% in QL of the Building kit, or the process wont work - IE, for a QL100 Kit, you will need a QL90 cloud of nanobots. This takes 5.75 times the QL of the kit in your Electrical Engineering skill and 4 times the QL in Computer Literacy and Nanoprogramming for you to achieve.

  + =   Guardian Conductor Controller
This is the conscious base of a Guardian Conductor. It is ready to receive programming

The next step is to combine the Controller with the appropriate program. As said earlier, there are eight of them to chose from, but you will do well to not overestimate your tradeskills, as some of these are extremely difficult if not impossible to build. In particular the QL200+ conductors are really tough to build. Like in the previous step, the same 10% rule applies for the Controller. Your controller must be within the 10% range of the Program. Important to note is that the program will determine the QL of the soon-to-be-finished tower. This step requires 5.75 times the QL of the Program in your Electrical Engineering and 4 times the QL in both Nanoprogramming and Computer Literacy skill to accomplish.

+ =   Conductor of Corruption Controller
This is the programmed controller of a Guardian Conductor.

The last step in the process is combining the Conductor of Corruption Controller with a HSR Compressed Regenerating Bioplate. The HSR Compressed Regenerating Bioplate also abides by the same 10% rule as the other steps In other words if you get a QL100 Controller, the Bioplate must be at least QL90 for it to work. This step requires 4 times the QL of the Controller in Mechanical Engineering to accomplish.

+ =   Guardian Conductor of Corruption
Gives a personal buff to MC and TS for its owner as well as an AOE Nanopool decrease for all enemies in the area.

Voilá! Your very own conductor, scratchmade and a bit smelly from all the oils and sweat, but nothing that a standardized nanobot cleaning factory can't handle. Comes complete with its own Wünderbaum(c) as well.

Special Weapons Turrets
Making the customized turrets is a bit simpler process-wise, but as far as skill-requirements go, they are far from easy to get together. In fact, we have yet to see anyone put up anything else than a Cold Laser turret - the other custom weapon-turrets are most likely meant for the future, when it is actually possible to obtain the obscene requirements for them. Here is the shopping list for the turrets...

    Cloud of Infuriated Nanobots
    HSR Compressed Regenerating Bioplate

    Turret Construction Base

Apart from these three items, you will also need to obtain one of four different weapons especially made for these turrets. Three of them are currently in-game, as the quest for the Atomic turret is missing. Also, the requirements of the existing weapons and the Quality range limits means that really only one of them is possible to create - the Cold Laser turret starting at QL160, which is the one we are going to make in this guide.

First, you will need to combine your Infuriated Nanobots with a Turret Construction Base. The turret base needs to be at least 0.8 times the QL of the weapon to be mounted - (in our case the QL205 Revolving Cold Laser) for the next step to work, so keep that in mind (QL 160+ works fine). This will require you to have 5.75 times the QL of the contruction base in Mechanical Engineering and 4 times the QL in Nanoprogramming to accomplish.

  + =   Turret Controller
This is a programmed Turret. It lacks a body and a weapon.

The next step is to program the turret with the weapon of our choice - in our case, a Revolving Cold Laser. This step takes 5.75 times the QL of the weapon to be mounted in your Mechanical Engineering and 4.5 times the QL in Weapon smithing to complete the process.

+ =   Cold Laser Turret Controller
This is a programmed Turret, equipped with a Cold Laser weapon.

The final step is to combine the Controller with your HSR Compressed Regenerating Bioplate. This takes 4 times the QL of the Bioplate in your Mechanical engineering skill to achieve.

  + =   Cold Laser Turret
Turrets are mainly designed for defense purposes, but they also utilize technology that increase the performance of human breeds.

And there you have it - your very own personal weapon of mass-destruction, ready to be placed inside your base and willing to let loose havoc and malice upon any enemy who might be foolish enough to enter its vicinity. Ph3ar.
